American Cancer Society
Relay For Life 'Road to a Cure'
Drive-through Luminaria Event
Sunday, July 12th from 9:00pm - 10:30pm
Fairgrounds Way
There
is nothing more beautiful than the sight of hundreds of luminaria bags
illuminating the night to honor and remember those with cancer.
When
the sun goes down at every American Cancer Society Relay For Life event, hope
shines the brightest. During the Luminaria event, hundreds of Luminaria light
a track to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember
those who have lost their battle, and fight back against a disease that has
taken too much. This ceremony of light symbolizes the hope and perseverance
with which we all continue to fight.
Although we can’t be together at the event
this year, we still want to have a moment of reflection and honor every life
touched by cancer by inviting everyone to drive through a special Luminaria display at the Clark County Event Center. We will line Fairgrounds Way with Luminarias decorated with names, pictures and messages.
If you would like to purchase a luminaria to be displayed during the Road to a Cure drive through experience presented by Lifetime Exteriors, please go to clarkcountyrelay.org and click on the donate or luminaria button.
When
you make a donation for a luminaria, it helps fund American Cancer Society’s
mission to help save lives. You can give to the American Cancer Society and
keep the flame of hope lit by ordering a Luminaria in memory of someone lost to
cancer or in honor of someone still fighting or who has beaten the disease.
Please join the American Cancer Society on Sunday July 12th for the Road to a Cure event at the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds from 9:00pm –
10:30pm.
The event entrance will be on Fairgrounds Way - (NE Delfel Road - turn at the Amphitheater sign). Event signs will be posted.
There is no charge for admission for this event.
