Construction Updates

While the Clark County Fair draws approximately 265,000 visitors every August, the Fairgrounds is truly a year-round destination. Hosting more than 150 events annually, we welcome an additional 200,000 guests through the gates for trade shows, sporting events, sales, swap meets, livestock shows, corporate meetings, private events and more.

To support this year-round use, Fairgrounds Site Management Group developed a long-term Fairgrounds Master Plan to guide improvements over the next 10+ years. The projects outlined below represent early, high-priority projects designed to improve infrastructure, enhance the guest experience, and support the continued success of the Clark County Fair and Event Center.

A key project identified in the Fairgrounds Master Plan is the expansion of the Administration Building. Construction is scheduled to begin following the 2026 Clark County Fair and is expected to be completed by spring 2027.

The expanded Administration Building will improve efficiency for year-round operations and allow for the removal of the existing “old admin” building. This will make way for the next phase of improvements identified in the Master Plan, including construction of a new Covered Rental Pavilion.

Additional future projects include parking and roadway improvements, a covered warm-up arena, updated food and beverage facilities and a new marquee sign along Northwest 179th Street. These improvements are designed to address aging infrastructure, improve accessibility and traffic flow, enhance the guest experience and support increased year-round use of the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds.
