A Multi-Use Indoor Facility

An integral part of the Clark County Fairgrounds, the Dr. Jack Giesy Equestrian Arena is a versatile venue designed to support a wide range of equestrian, canine, and small animal events. The Arena regularly hosts horse shows, barrel races, ranch sorting competitions, rodeos, clinics, dog shows, agility trials, and more.

2026 Available Event Dates

We currently have the following dates available for events in the Dr. Jack Giesy Equestrian Arena:

  • March 20–22, 2026
  • June 19–21, 2026
  • August 28–30, 2026

Additional Scheduling Information

  • Dates listed are typical two-day shows with a Friday load-in
  • Events lasting three or more days may also be accommodated
  • Availability for one-day shows is limited; please call for more information

Arena Features & Specifications

  • Total show area: 225’ x 112’ (configurable to increase show space)
  • Warm-up area: 100’ x 112’
  • Seating for approximately 225
  • Event office and announcer stand
  • PA system
  • Wash rack and restrooms

STABLING & PARKING

  • Stall Barn 3: 155 stalls (adjacent to the Arena)
  • Stall Barn 2: 30 overflow stalls
  • Draft horse and Clydesdale stalls available
  • Overnight RV/LQ parking may be available for show participants
  • Vehicle and trailer parking located adjacent to the Arena

OPEN RIDING & TEAM PRACTICE

Open Riding
Open riding is typically available on most Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Availability is subject to change without notice—please call the day of your visit to confirm.

  • Fee: $20 per horse
  • Riders must check in at the Administration Office to complete a risk form and pay prior to riding
  • For open riding information, call 564-397-6180

Team Practices

  • 2026-2027 Season: Very limited availability
